Investment Strategy
Padmakshi-Mondial's investment strategy will be a three-pronged one:
Income Strategy – A portion of the allocation will be invested in Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs). REITs by law are required to distribute 90% of their income to the shareholders. REITs are historically the highest dividend payers in the US coming from stable and predictable income sources which is the rents of tenants contracted to the properties owned by the REIT.
Core Holdings – This allocation will consist of the blue-chip companies in the US which have consistent earnings and growth over several decades, have a high market share in their respective sectors and strong brand recognition making for strong future earnings growth.
Growth Investing – The remaining allocation will be towards high growth companies. Growth assets in the portfolio will have >20% Return on Equity with high future potential earnings. This allocation of the portfolio will be riskier than the other two but with a higher capital appreciation expectation.
How to Invest
RBI permits remittance up to US $250,000 per annum per individual for permitted expenses / investments under the Liberalised Remittance Scheme (LRS);
Padmakshi-Mondial will assist you in opening a broking account with a US-based discount broker with minimal documentation;
Transfer funds under LRS to the credit of your account with the broker;
Padmakshi-Mondial will advise you with investment recommendations and help you execute the transactions;
All transactions are carried out online through a secure password based account access;
The investments made are held by the US broker in your account;
Regular reports are available to you through the website detailing your holdings, cost of purchase, current value, gain/(loss) on investments, dividend earned, etc.
