IMMINRANT INVESTOR PROGRAM (Citizenship by Investment)
As a member of the EU and the Eurozone, Ireland has attracted many international companies such as Apple, Google, Intel, Microsoft, and Dell to set up their headquarters. Ireland is preferred by ambitious investors, business managers, and families because of its thriving economy, high standard of living, and renowned education system.
Immigration Policy
Under the Irish Immigrant Investor Program, an investor must propose an investment in one or more of the following categories:
Enterprise Investment
Investment Fund
Real Estate Investment Trusts
Endowment
Application Requirements
Main Applicant:
Aged 18 years and above
Non-EU or non-EEA (European Economic Area) citizen
No criminal history
A minimum investment of €1 million in an Irish enterprise for at least 3 years
Evidence of source of funds (minimum net worth of €2 million)
Dependent Applicants:
Legal spouse of the main applicant
Children under 18 years of age
Children aged between 18 and 24 years who are unmarried and financially dependent on the main applicant.
Residency/Renewal Requirements
Successful applicants and their immediate families will be granted residence permission for 2 years initially. This permission can be renewed for a further period of 3 years. After these first 5 years, the investor or entrepreneur can apply for long-term residence. If required they will be granted multiple entry visas for the same duration.
Visit Ireland at least once per calendar year.
Cannot become a financial burden on the Irish government.
Eligible to apply for naturalization upon meeting residence requirements.
